Discover the art of naturally fermented and handcrafted beverages in this hands-on class led by Jon Welzbacher of June’s. You’ll explore the world of slow drinks—probiotic sodas, kombucha, and homemade syrups—crafted from scratch with time, care, and creativity.

Learn how to start and care for your own ginger bug, the key to creating your own fizzy, gut-friendly sodas (think Olipop, but homemade!). Then, dive into the process of brewing kombucha, learning how to care for your SCOBY and take home a vinegar starter to continue fermenting at home. Finally, you’ll make your own herbal or fruit-infused syrup, perfect for elevating coffee, tea, mocktails, or cocktails.

By the end of class, you’ll have a collection of living, flavorful creations to take home and enjoy—plus the knowledge to keep the fermentation magic going.

You’ll take home:

  • 🥂 A ginger bug starter for probiotic sodas
  • 🍯 A vinegar starter for brewing kombucha
  • 🌿 A handcrafted herbal or fruit syrup

Class Details:

  • 🎫 Hands-on cooking class for 1 person (1 ticket = 1 seat)
  • ⌛ Duration: Approximately 2.5–3 hours
