Cooking Class Policies

Refund Policy

Due to food prep, planning, and food costs all ticket sales are final, and we have a no refund policy for class tickets. We also do not allow transfers to other classes. If you cannot attend, though, please contact us at (618) 206-8069 to see if there is a waiting list. We also welcome you to send a friend in your place.

Stormy Weather Policy

Occasionally, we do reschedule classes due to severe weather if there is concern for travel safety. In the event of a class reschedule, we will communicate through email prior to the class start time. We allow an allotted amount of time to check schedules and if you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, we will provide you with a refund or a Toast & Table gift card in the amount of your purchased class ticket(s). After the allotted time, our standard refund policy on class ticket sales applies.

Beverage Policy

Toast & Table always has a selection of water, tea, and sodas for all to enjoy. We encourage attendees to bring their own beverages. We do not sell or provide alcohol. We ask that all attendees drink responsibly and Toast & Table reserves the right to ask guests to leave if they are unwilling to follow this policy.

Outside Food Policy

Absolutely no outside food are allowed in the Toast & Table Kitchen area during class. Toast & Table reserves the right to ask guests to leave if they are unwilling to follow this policy.

Food Allergy & Dietary Restriction Policy

The menus listed for the classes are developed by the individual chef instructors and cannot be altered prior to class. For hands-on classes, if you choose not to include certain ingredients in your dish that you prepare, that is your choice. Please note if you have a severe nut or gluten allergy, we are not a nut-free nor gluten-free kitchen and cross contamination from other classes cannot be safely avoided. We do occasionally offer classes that are largely gluten-free, these are intended for guests who avoid gluten primarily as a dietary choice.

Hygiene Policy

All guests are expected to wear clean, appropriate attire to class and maintain a standard level of hygiene during class to include, but not limited to, regular hand washing and/or wearing gloves. Guests with longer than shoulder length hair may be asked to pull their hair back. Toast & Table reserves the right to ask guests to leave if they are unwilling to follow this policy.

Age Requirement Policy

Unless a class is specifically marked; classes are generally adults only which means 18+. For kids cooking classes, participation requires the purchase of a full price ticket for both a child and adult (unless otherwise stated). We reserve the right to request proof of age for our classes.

Are ticket prices for a class per person?

Yes, all public class tickets are per person unless it is specifically noted otherwise.

Where are your classes held?

All Toast & Table cooking classes are held in the Toast & Table teaching kitchen located at 227 W. First Street, Unit B, O’Fallon, IL.

What is the typical class size?

Classes typically have 10 guests.

What happens during a typical class?

Participants will follow chef instruction at workstations fully equipped with all tools, cookware, equipment, and ingredients necessary to complete the recipes being taught. At the end of class, guests enjoy what was made.

What do I need to bring with me?

Toast & Table provides the ingredients, equipment, tools, and an apron for each participant to wear during the class. Be sure to bring yourself and an appetite! Exceptional service and you want to tip the chef or staff? No problem! While tipping is not necessary, it is allowed.

Do all classes serve food?

At the end of all classes, guests are invited to take part in enjoying all of the food prepared during the class. For most classes, this includes a full dinner. For skill-based classes (like cookie decorating, knife skills, mixology) light appetizers will be available during the class.

Who will I be cooking with?

Most of our hands-on cooking classes are designed for guests to cook in pairs. Groups with an odd # of participants may be asked to cook alongside another participant (and make a new friend in the process!)

Can I book a private class?

Yes, absolutely! We love hosting private groups for team building, celebrations, bridal showers, etc. Please contact us at info@toastandtable.com for more information about booking and class options.
