John Dahlstrom

John Dahlstrom is the North Central Territory Manager for Made In Cookware, where he partners with chefs, retailers, and culinary educators to bring professional-quality tools to kitchens across the region. Based in Chicago, John’s approach is rooted in the belief that great cookware starts with great relationships—a philosophy shaped by years spent in the restaurant industry.

Before joining Made In, John built a notable culinary career as a chef, celebrated for his technique-driven cooking and Midwest-inspired creativity. He served as Executive Chef of Nettare in Chicago’s West Town, a hybrid cafe, restaurant, and bar known for its ambitious, ingredient-driven menus. His work there—and previously at the acclaimed Table, Donkey & Stick—highlighted his thoughtful use of local and foraged ingredients, as well as his willingness to push boundaries. One of his most talked-about creations included a custom dish featuring cicadas for a culinary feature that showcased his openness to innovation.

John’s talent and perspective were widely recognized when he was named a 2025 Rising Chef of the Year finalist for Chicago’s prestigious Jean Banchet Awards, honoring emerging leaders in the culinary world.

Today, he brings that same chef-informed expertise to Made In, offering training and support that help both professional and home cooks make the most of their tools. Among the entire Made In line, John’s favorite remains the versatile 3-quart saucier—a piece he believes belongs in every kitchen.
