The start of school is always a bittersweet time for me. It marks the end of summer fun and I do enjoy getting back into a routine, but it's also a reminder of how fast my boys are growing up. I have a 3rd grader and a preschooler now, and it seems like just yesterday I was carrying them around the house and changing their little bottoms... perhaps sangria seems like the perfect way to sop up these mommy tears. And a good excuse to use up some of these peaches we picked at our local farm last week!
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle white wine of choice (Moscato or Prosecco are good choices)
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 1/4 cup peach schnapps
- 1 can lemon lime soda
- 1-2 fresh peaches sliced
- Other fresh and/or frozen fruits that you have on hand such as strawberries, mangos, pineapple or raspberries works well
Make It:
- Stir wine, brandy, peach schnapps and sliced fresh fruit together in a pitcher and let chill in fridge (all day if you can wait that long!). Before serving add in the soda and frozen fruit.
