This recipe has been tried and verified by our very own employee, Pam. She came into the store raving about how excellent and easy it was to make this recipe for her and her husband the night before. Obviously, I asked to share since I'm always on the hunt for a new salmon recipe!! Thank you Pam :)
Ingredients:
- 3-4 salmon fillets
- 1 medium orange
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt & Pepper to taste
Make It:
- Zest orange, slice in half, then into moon shapes cutting off rind.
- Heat some olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle salmon with salt & pepper (on both sides if you have skinless fillets). Add to pan when hot and cook for 3-4 minutes per side. Remove salmon from pan and set aside.
- Add bourbon, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce and orange slices to pan over medium heat. Cook while stirring often until slightly thickened (couple minutes will do!). Add butter and swirl to finish off that beautiful sauce and pour over salmon fillets.
- Serves well with rice, steamed or roasted broccoli, roasted brussel sprouts, or honey glazed carrots!
