Toast & Table is a kitchen store and teaching kitchen where guests come to learn new skills and enjoy cooking together. Our hands-on classes regularly sell out, and many guests come back again. We’re looking for a chef who enjoys sharing what they know and making people feel comfortable in the kitchen.
You’ll lead classes of up to 10 guests, cooking the full meal alongside them. As guests cook in pairs, you’ll demonstrate each step, explain techniques, answer questions, and keep the class moving at a comfortable pace.
You can teach from our rotation of approximately 50 established classes. We also welcome your ideas and hope to add new classes about once a month.
You won’t be running the evening alone. A kitchen manager and assistant are there during prep and throughout class to set up, welcome guests, and help wherever needed. Our team handles end-of-night cleanup.
Approximately 3–7 classes per month, primarily Friday and Saturday evenings, with some weekday evenings. Dates are planned in advance, and classes generally end by 9 pm.
Professional cooking experience or culinary training
The ability to explain cooking techniques clearly and encourage beginners
A warm presence and confidence leading a small group
Dependability and availability for evening classes
Prior teaching experience is welcome but not required.
